4 Maoists, including a female, surrender in Chhattisgarh

In Chhattisgarh, four Maoists, including a female rebel, today surrendered in Bijapur district of Bastar division.

Two of the surrendered Maoists had a total reward of eleven lakh rupees on their head. These Maoists surrendered before senior officials of Police and Central Reserve Police Force. According to police, these rebels were allegedly involved in various Naxal activities.

Meanwhile, a team of security forces recovered two IEDs in Pankhajur area of Kanker district during a search operation. According to police officials, these IEDs were planted by Maoists. Later, Bomb disposal Squad defused the bombs.
